so i bought some month ago a mox6 which made me quite happy until i realized that the 64 note poliphony really bugs me.cause when you layer it s quite difficult to get most of the board.so i decided to sell it and the idea came to exchange it with a motif xs rack.same thing only 128 poliphony.i m a piano player and on the fast note sections it should be a huge improvement. what do you think? i m making a mistake?

If your only issue with the MOX is the 64-note polyphony, the Rack XS will give you all the same sounds with 128-note polyphony. There are some feature differences, and of course you don't get the whole accessible MOX front panel, but you do get the sounds.

As for it being a "huge improvement," I don't know... I don't find it easy to max out the 64 note polyphony on the MOX in the first place.

As a piano player, though, I think you'd want to drive it from a weighted action, rather than an unweighted action like the MOX6.

Same/Same .... if you can hit 64 poly you have to be really trying.
