I have a new RX-3 on which I had a Dampp-Chaser system installed. Since I have a ceiling fan going at all times, I thought it might be wise to have a full length cover made (right to the ground). The fabric is made of 2 layers: one polyester, one thin cotton.

Is this a good idea? Is there a chance of getting too much humidity under the piano?

Mike

It should be fine. The system will cycle back and forth between humidification and de-humidification. Was an undercover installed withthe Dampp-Chaser system?

No. My tech. said that he didn't recommend an undercover because of the shape of the frame on the RX3. He said it would look fit poorly.

Custom-made undercovers are now available to fit just about any grand. This is something very recent, and different from the original Dampp-Chaser undercover. Your tech may not even be aware they are now available from all the Dampp-Chaser suppliers. I have not installed any new undercovers, but they are supposed to be MUCH easier to install, and look better.
