Hello,

Firstly I want to apologize, I'm French and do not speak English very well (thank you google translation).

I bought two months ago a Kawai CA13 digital piano, which I am fully satisfied with the touch, and wooden keys, this action with RM3 beautiful and quiet.

However I have a little problem on certain notes, including the G-sharp and B flat major of the octave that are a bit stronger than the other notes.
This means that by the one who plays the piano. When you're close or listens to the helmet, there are more problems. Moreover it happens that on his Grand Concert 1. It's not aggressive, but when to play chords or arpeggios pianissimos, these notes will hear a little more ...

If someone possesses the Kawai CA13, can contact me via private message, in order to discuss this problem, which perhaps is not one, and just to the sampling.

Cordially

Music with a helmet. Must be for extreme head-banging...

This could be sampling? Then when the room acoustics? As someone who listens standing will not feel the problem. There is only one who plays (and therefore in front of the piano and seated), who feels it.

In both cases, I can not do much, does not it?

Gliryc, if you have any concerns about your CA13, I recommend that you contact the dealer from where the instrument was purchased to seek advice and assistance.

Kind regards,
James

Gliryc, if the tonal character of these two notes has changed in the past two months that you've owned the CA13, I would recommend contacting your dealer.

Please note that the CA13 shares the same 'Progressive Harmonic Imaging' sound technology as the current generation 'CN' series (CN23, CN33, CN43), and I'm afraid I cannot recall reading similar claims from owners of these instruments.

Kind regards,
James

Thank you for your advice Kawai James. However this has not changed since I was the piano, there is the problem.

How do I know if this is an environmental problem of the room or a problem of the digital piano?

I repeat, this problem only appears when playing without a helmet and can be understood only by one who plays.

Cordially.

I have a CN33, but don't normally play using Concert Grand 1.

You don't say which octave? So I tried G-sharp and B-flat on all octaves and didn't really notice a problem.

I did notice C6-sharp is slightly more 'brighter' than what I'm used to in one of the pieces I play and practise regularly. But that's just a characteristic of that piano voice compared to another piano voice, and I don't think is a problem. I expect if I used Concert Grand 1 regularly then I would get used to it (the C6-sharp).

So I can't say if you have a problem or not with your CA13.

Can you try another one in the shop you bought it from, and at the same time discuss it with the dealer? If you suspect room acoustics, try moving the CA13 to a new position temporarily.

I think you are saying you the player can't hear the problem with a headphone (helmet is bad translation by Google), so maybe it is something in the room.

Excuse me for the eventual fault, it is indeed google translation helps me.

The nearest store that sells the piano is 250 kms ...

Let's say I do not think it is a problem of the piano, because as said before, it's like this since I have. It's really the sound of the G sharp and B flat when I'm not playing through headphones ... It's painful in the sense that when we made accors or pianissimo arpeggios, it still means but only by the piano player ...

It happens that the sound of a Grand Concert.

If someone has the CA13, I will be interested in opinions.

Cordially.
