Bad Chopin seems to be its own little niche.

It sounds like a digital keyboard that she was playing on... Maybe it was a cheap non-weighted keyboard that she had to play on? I know my playing sounds like that if I had to play on a keyboard with those small plastic keys... Just giving her the benefit of the doubt. :-P

Sounds like a spoof to me, including the MC. I don't know how someone can play that badly and fast and hit most of the notes.

Well, sort of sort of know.
I've met him a few times, and close friends of mine have worked closely with him. I call that "sort of sort of know." grin

And BTW I don't think he was her actual teacher, but just coached her for that. I figured I'd better mention that, to avoid him getting too smeared by this....

I recall that, though much shortened, the excerpt was closer to the original score than this is; it seems this has been "doctored" to make it even worse than it originally was. I am not about to go searching for the original, however.

What are these "2011 recordings". Various live videos? Or an official set of studio recordings?

Yundi was a good interpreter in '04. He definitely has gone down hill for some reason.
