I fell on this quite by accident. It's a nice story with a satisfying ending. I hope Juilliard is paying attention. He deserves a scholarship.

Or he sings when they're not at home! (Which is what I do, although I don't have a great voice.)

That's what I always did too. I never could sing in front of my family unless they turned up to a gig with other people and I didn't know. There's just something too weird about performing for my family. Having said that, they were never very encouraging about my career choice. That's probably why. I think a lot of talented people hide what they do because it doesn't match the expectations of their family.
