Someone has already posted on Pianist's corner, but I thought I might also share this performance.

Right now YouTube is showing the crowd milling around, with the concert about to start. Tune in if you can!

Amazing.

And here is an artist making full use of today's media - a youtube radical.

it's too bad I can't understand much through her accent. Thankfully, though, I can hear plenty through her beautiful playing smile

Thanks for the post - even though I watch her playing often, I wouldn't have likely noticed this for some time

I'm largely ignorant about this lady except for performances I have seen on YouTube.

I don't see any major piano competitions listed for her - just something for duo-pianists.

IF this is true, I would like to know for sure. Anyone who gets success without the competition grind is of great interest to me, since I loathe these competitions. frown

I have only watched a part of this video, but I love her playing. Thank you for the heads up.

I actually became aware of her through youtube and then because of her love of Bosendorfer. We have provided pianos for her.

Tame and contrived performance IMO. I can´t believe the attention she gets. Maybe it because of her clever marketing on youtube.

What I object to in the Hungarian rhapsody:
No spine, no bittersweetness, no old time charm. She doesn´t seem to understand the core of the music, playing it in a style that belong somewhere else.

Here is a master playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufNMkrPeJFU

yikes, yes. She's playing this wonderful HR as if it's a Chopin ballade. It's got to have bite, gypsy flair, and the rhythmic accents are often missing or off.....
