OP merkhywaters Junior Member M Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 11 USA	I've had this recording of Gieseking bookmarked for a while-- [video:youtube]AtubNoipRIg[/video] ...besides being a nice version of the Emperor Concerto, it is historically interesting. It was recorded in Berlin in 1945 in stereo (!) as WWII was going on outside (you can hear anti-aircraft guns if you turn your speakers up around minute 17). What other historically interesting recordings do you know and love? Chopin Nocturne Op.55 No.2 Bach Inventions Nos.5,6,7 (Soon: Beethoven Sonata 9, Op.14 No.1 Mvmt.2)
