I bought a Yamaha GC1M Grand Piano just in time for my birthday. It replaces my 105 year old Everett upright.

This baby grand was used for a year and a half at a Von Maur store. It has been maintained and tuned often and is through the break in period.

I'm amazed at the sound it produces and how expressive I can be compared to my upright.

Here is a picture on boxnet:

Congratulation! I noticed the difference in sound quality between my grand and old upright too. It will be difficult to remove yourself from it:)

Beautiful - I am sure it sounds wonderful also! I upgraded pianos late last year also and am thrilled with the "new" sound.

Beautiful - I'm jealous! grin

I too have noticed how much more control I (think I) have on the grands I've played on, which is much more than my my upright and digital. Someday, just someday.

I can't wait to hear you play on it and bring your expressiveness out! smile
Learning to play since June 2009.
