We are looking to buy a piano. After looking quite a few, we narrow it to a Nordiska 5' (about 6 years) and a Weber WG 50 (about 20 years). Nordiska asks for $4500 plus free shipping. Weber asks for $3900. Both will not negotiate. We appreciate your comments on them.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a cheap and very small grand piano. I would look for a Kawai or Yamaha upright piano lightly used. You'll get a piano that IMO plays and sounds better for the price.

Thanks for your comments. It is hard to find a lightly used Kawai or Yamaha in our price range. We decided to go with the Weber since it seems to be a better deal according to info we gathered.

Congratulations on the purchase of your piano.

I played both a Weber and a Nordiska baby grand when I was looking, and liked the Weber better.

I hope you and your family get many years of enjoyment out of it; and, if you all decide to upgrade at some point, that will be fun too!

Post pictures when you can...

Rick
