You can have a try :

Demmer

They mention 'Fragen Sie unsere Hauspreise" meaning they are willing to offer you a (serious) discount.

The cost of transportation is often not too bad.

I bought my piano in Munich (two years ago) and had a discount of appr 25 %. When adding a pianochair + transport (to Belgium) it was still cheaper tha, the official price mentioned on the website.

Lord:

For your price range you pretty well can pick form the best there is.

Steingbraeber uprights are fabulous, so are several other top German makers.

Good luck!

People have to learn that there's no "best" in this business.

All makes have wonderful examples and there's quite a variance between model and [same] model.

It's like when asking the Germans: "what's your best car"

Normal answer: "the guy must be a foreigner"....

There may be no difference in the actions. Most variations among vertical pianos of the same size are just the cases. If there are differences in the action, it is by no means certain that you will prefer one over another.

Lord Blackmourne,

You have been given much of value in this thread. Here is the problem, we can't pick out the piano for you, only you can.

You are considering instruments in the class of which the very finest are being built. There is no "better." It is not like discussing which company uses better screws, they all do.

If you like the sound of Steingraeber, buy a Steingraeber. At this level, it's not Yamaha vs. Kawai.

Trying to compare pianos for someone else at this price range is like trying to decide for someone else whether to buy a peach, a nectarine, or a plum. They all are different, and in the end, the biggest factor is what that person likes the best.

If you cannot make decisions like this on your own, how did you ever get €25,000 to spend on a piano?

ive played piano my whole life so i thought i would buy a piano that is magnificent. I never said you should decide for me just that it would help if someone pointed out the strong points in the concert 8.

ive heard that it has a good sound far away from the piano as well as close up, is that true?
