Oooohh man, pour les sixtes is fantastic. Vedernikov is underrated. (For the record, so is Debussy on this site)

Yes very under-rated, which I find surprising as he played lots of music with Richter... But I was not able to find too much information about him online.

I always thought Debussy Etudes are especially nice pieces to learn, this is coming from someone who does not really enjoy Debussy that much in general.

This is superlative indeed. No wonder Richter raved about it.
Another favorite interpretation is by Samson Francois, who did not live long enough to record all of the Debussy Etudes (I have Livre II No 7-12 in one CD compilation. Not sure about others).
