Additional info:I have always loved this song. I didn't even attempt the uptempo big finish made famous in the Otis Redding recording, but rather tried a rendition more suitable for solo piano and voice.

Additional info:Khachaturian combines a simple, nearly completely diatonic melody with a descending chromatic accompaniment to give this piece in C minor a 20th century edge. Ivan Sings is the first piece in a set of eight called "The Adventures of Ivan."
