You play with such love and heart. I'm so glad you have such a lovely piano.

It's a beautiful piano for sure, but I'm a bit surprised by all the plaudits for the photographs. To me, the colour balance is horrible - it doesn't represent the way this piano looks at all - and I've seen this exact model. Maybe you could post some additional photos with normal colour balance so we can appreciate the real colouring?

Estelle & ando,
Are you aware that this thread is three years old and ando, why are you being so unkind about photos proudly taken by a new piano owner?

Estelle & ando,
Are you aware that this thread is three years old and ando, why are you being so unkind about photos proudly taken by a new piano owner? No, I didn't notice the date of the original post, if I had I wouldn't have posted. Marty, this resident cop thing is getting very tiresome. Others have said they like the photos. I didn't like the photos. I was complimentary about the piano itself and I believe it is a much more beautiful instrument than the photos show. The piano is the item of significance, not the photos. The photos are so yellowed out that the charm, colour and character of the wood, the plate and the strings is lost. Why shouldn't I wish to see more accurate photos of that? Why are you so sensitive to how others post? There's a difference between being unkind and having an opinion. I was not unkind. I was respectfully honest.

An unkind opinion in a celebratory thread is unwelcome.
I am tired of useless and pompous replys.

I am tired of useless and pompous replys. It wasn't pompous, it was desirous of better photos to show how nice this piano really is. By anyone's definition, those photos were very unnaturally coloured. The piano was the thing being celebrated - it wasn't a photo exhibit. You get upset about everything, Marty. The world will never be exactly the way you like it. Try some more acceptance.

Ando, I agree the color is unnatural, but it seems to be the result of the overall color scheme of the room, yellow carpet + yellow paint and everything including the plant in the background looks yellowish. I tried adjusting the color in Photoshop (something you could easily do in many photo viewing softwares, many free or donationware), but the results weren't as good as the original. It seems your beef is with the interior designer which is probably the OP or his wife, so in a sense you are insulting the OP. I'm sure you disagree, but I don't believe you're on the high road in this one.

Something within myself tells me a picture is somewhat secondary to the instrument itself and the people behind it! Hoping not to be too far off on this one.... http://www.pianoworld.com/Uploads/files/IMG_0939.jpgNorbert

This thread is very old, but it is a nice looking piano in a fantastic room. I wish I had a high ceiling for mine.
Not everyone is a great photographer, so there is no need to judge.
Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and nuclear weapons.
