It would be a great piano for "classic rock" music.

Faux Marble..... mmmmm not for me....
Actually I don´t like anything faux.
If I can afford a Timex watch, I'll try to have a nice Timex watch. If I can afford a Rolex, then I'll do the same. But buying a faux Rolex. mmmm I hate people that does that. Or do that to a car. Buy one and modify it to look like another one, such as Mercedes.
If the piano is made of wood, I want it to look like a very nice wood, not something else.
My thoughts. Are you aware that ebony pianos are not made of ebony? Some black pianos - Not even a wood finish? **** But some of you guys really made me groan (with a smile) this morning!!!

If it were real marble, it would probably fall through my floor.

Don't forget, this piano has a duet bench, so it can hold two marble statues. Also, Entheo, I recently bought a retirement property at an exclusive resort called "Sunset Memory Gardens" My lot is only 5'X10', but I occasionally barbeque there. This luxurious place has a clubhouse almost identical to your photo. I plan to spend alot of time there someday, hopefully not too soon.

A little off subject, but I would like to have a 20,000 Lb. granite tombstone carved into a "French" Wurlitzer theater organ console. The inscription will read, "Attention vandals, this stone will fall on you with the touch of a feather, NOW get away!" (in response to a newspaper article "No Stone Left Unturned'"

I kind of like it. Not that I would necessarily buy a VERRRY expensive one like this for my living room.
However, all things considered, I think that I would buy a piano I fell in love with, no matter what colour of finish it was.
When I was shopping for a new piano, I don't think I had any pre-conceived ideas about the colour.
Probably most of you are like that - you would buy for the instrument, and not for the look.
However, I do enjoy looking at any kind of art case pianos. Great fun.
Thanks for this, Rich.

Rich - still needs a better picture for my final answer.
I like it a little better than white. Far less than basic black. A little less than Elton Red. A lot more than Liberace Rhinestone....but that's a historic Baldwin...so not sure. Far, far less than walnut.
Did you take this in on trade? Should be a fabulous story that goes with this!

I'm a natural wood finish person myself but if someone gave it to me I wouldn't toss it out the window. It's a Steinway after all.

With S&S, there was the S,M,L,B, and D models, and "the Eternal Rest" marble unit. It is kept humidified with a formaldehyde device. Mostly tuned after it has reached a cooler temp. I usually is displayed with a bronze urn, oh, I meant candleabra.
