Hello, I'm 21 and totally new to instruments, and wondering.. I want to start playing the piano. Unfortunately, I can't find an upright for rent at the moment. Pianos are not produced in my country and the no. of pianos is low here. I was thinking of getting a Casio CDP-120 digital for 420us$ but I can't afford so much at the moment and am on the lookout for a used one but considering getting it if I can find EMI options. So I thought would it be okay to get a Yamaha PSR-e333 keyboard and learn that first? It's only 230$ here. I don't mind not being able to play classical music at first, but I wondered if it's a good model. I listen to music like Radiohead and want to be able to play it on the keyboard. Is 61 keys too less for a beginner keyboard? Or do I need a full digital piano for music like Radiohead? And is the Yamaha model decent? If not, are there any others in the price range? Thanks for any advice.

Hello DorkDork,

Welcome to Piano World.

Discussion on this particular forum is primarily about acoustic pianos, digitals to a lesser extent. You might also post this question on the forum "Digital Pianos - Synths & Keyboards" which is also on Piano World. Check under "Our Most Popular Forums."
