Today I recorded an etude and my Triana again - I think it's better than the former grin

This is very much better Roger. The problem is you still play it in the "French style". Albeniz was a pupil of Liszt and integrated "high art" romanticism with the Spanish folk rythms. You, as often is the case, play this piece too fast and (also you to correct the wrong note you play in the tricky modulation section).

You have the melody/rythm now, but there are many subtle harmomies in the inner parts overlooked. Also Albeniz uses the "power of three" each set of three must present different idioms. All I hear is you going through the motions.

I will present this and El Peurto (check the upper posts!). Remember I have never rehearsed Triana before and this is after 2 week bare minimum rehearal (max 2 hours a day). My performance time is 9 mins which is 50% slower than yours. I hope it gives you some ideas!
