Hi Cheryl,

I came here to confess that I did not practice Thursday night. It was my fault due to poor management of my time. I am holding out my hands so that you can pop them with a ruler or something shocked

Ah, Jason, no corporal punishment here smile Not having the joy of getting to the piano is punishment enough.

Hey Cheryl,

I need to be excused for today. I just got through working a nearly 16 hour day. I am dog tired. Gotta go to bed and get back up to go to work again in about 6.5 hrs.

I just started reading this thread last Sunday and thought it was a great idea. I've been making sure to get at least 10 min a day in. Where as before if I couldn't sit down and actually practice for a while I'd put it off. Already seeing a difference smile

Don't know if it's too late to officially join, but just thought I'd chime in cause I think it's great!

I got back a day later than I expected. So mark me down as no playing due to travel for 8/27-8/30.

I had such a horrible time @ my lesson this past Thursday - absolutely NO communication between brain & fingers - that I came home feeling totally hopeless & not ever wanting to go near my piano again. But, OTOH, I didn't want to screw up my perfect daily practice record ... So, yesterday, MOYD got me to the piano in the morning to play a lot of Hanon & a couple of scales. By late afternoon, I attempted 2 or 3 really easy pieces that, as it turns out, I can still play reasonably well. I'm not quite ready to return to the 2 teacher-assigned pieces that I botched so badly on Thursday... maybe later today or tomorrow. But I think, thanks to MOYD, the crisis has passed.

Amanda, cut-off day for sign-up is 30 Sept, so no worries, you are "in" smile Welcome.

Pianostudent88 - done!

Carol - yipee! It is great that MOYD was such a great help to you! We all have days where we question our abilities, the important thing is to get past the questioning and on with the playing, as you did!

Cheryl, I missed August 25th - 30th for any piano practice due to a trip to visit family, and do more heavy duty mother-in-law help. Thanks if I can be excused for those days.

Cheryl, I'm writing this from Phoenix airport. I'm on my way to Lake Tahoe with my out door loving but not music loving husband. I cannot practice until I come back on 9/9.

It wasn't intended to be a break but the weekend schedule just didn't allow me to drag my keyboard out in the RV and get in a few minutes of piano time. We were at a dog show and our breed (GSD) was 8 AM which means 6 AM for bathing and grooming. Our girl won her first points on Saturday and we enjoyed the moment and then stayed to watch groups which takes up all afternoon (I'd never done that marathon before). Exhausting but the win was nice.

ANYway we were out of town for two days Sep 1-2 and I'm BACK on my piano routine. Missed my piano for sure. I think a little Mozart sounds good this morning.

Cas, can I please be excused for yesterday? I found out my step-father died, a huge family fight has started and I spent the rest of the day throwing up. I was just too sick to get anywhere near the keys. I'm better today so I will practice what I can.

Thanks, Becca

Yay:) I'm glad I'm in. I do need to be on the "excused" list for yesterday. I was incredibly sick. Haven't been that sick in a long time. Having a light breakfast and hoping for a better day - including some piano smile
