This was quite nice. I can't get into anything specific with your little experience, so this is wonderful for one year of playing and/or composing! The only comment I might have was that the left hand is too steady for a lullaby, and that the first theme (in the minor) is played thrice in the beginning, which is weird for music (standard music mostly moves in 2s or 4s or 8s or 16s. I was expecting one other time, but it never came). Other than that, thanks for sharing and sorry for not replying any sooner. PS. The tune is quite catchy: Found myself whistling it! Job well done!

Thank you for listening Nikolas, and you are right, the first part gets repeated 3x times LOL I got carried away with the camera, I guess About the left hand, yes I just play block chords basically, I hope to learn how to add an ostinato soon to it, any tips on composing for the piano book or so? Again thank you for listening and comment

Tips?
Well... for me composing is to bring something 'new' (<-this is an idiotic term, since there's nothing new to be found pretty much) to the world. It's about being creative. At least for each and every one of us: While something may be boring for others, or very standard and usual, for us it may be wonderful and connected to the right people (your kids, if it's a lullaby for example).
But still, compose something that YOU like. Something that YOU enjoy. something that you are missing from what you are playing.
See if you can vary what you're creating a little. You added two melodies, how about some variation on the left hand? How about a third theme, or some ideas that expand the main melody?
You can 'break' the block chords, so as to create ostinatos (eg. play the same notes, but one at the time, at a faster pace (in 8ths for example). This can work quite well). And if I may be bold, silly and provocative if you take the moonlight sonata, by Beethoven, the 1st movement, all there are are some chords in the right hand, the bass on the left, and a thin melody on top. If you play every three notes together you'll get the chords he used (this is the reversal of what I told you to do earlier, but it might spring ideas).
Finally, listen to TONS of music, get ideas, steal ideas, steal melodies, songs, tracks, productions, samples, loops, whatever and everything! Don't make any money out of it, but be realistic to realize that everyone of us get influenced by others and by what we get in ourselves every day from the telly, the radio, youtube, etc...
