What sort of thing am I looking for on my DP to get an effect like this?

Ot is it post editing, I've put reverb up a bit but it doesn't quite sound the same.

It is a reverb, though there are different kinds of course. You'll need to experiment a bit. Quite possible that your DP doesn't include many reverb options. You'd have more luck using a computer and VST's.

Reading his web page carefully, it looks like he had switched to the Roland RD700-GX when he made that particular recording. I don't think he used a Soundblaster in this recording.

Great sound!
