Hi, my son is playing about 9 months. Not so long but he loves it and progress fast. He is 10yrs old. We have a Yamaha NP-11 but the keys are not weighted and after 9 months the sound is not so good anymore. Maybe because we played on different piano's. We urgently need key-weighted piano. I don't know but I (father) is in love with Kawai. Because the piano will be in our living room it is important that it looks like a piano. Therefor i thought about buying the CS3. But there is no USB-connection. The CS6 has a USB-connection and wooden keys. Ans slso a lot of more features. But more sounds etc is not so imported for us. Just a nice look and good realistic piano sound. We played on Roland and Yamaha but Kawai have still the most realistic piano sound. So this week I will order the CS3 or CS6 but hey back on earth with my feed. Daddy likes it also but the CS6 is more than 1000 euros than te CS3. Playing only 9 months... ! Maybe the CS3 is enough. Help I need more advice... Thanks

Hello. Welcome to the Piano Forum. You may want to request the moderator move this post over to the Digital Piano sub-forum for better responses from people familiar with those models.

Since you are in Europe, the CS9 looks even more like a real piano (cabinet of a K-2), but you could buy a real piano with that kind of money.

Have you also considered a used, non-digital, upright?

I'm new here sorry to post this in the wrong forum.

Gnuboi. The CS9 has a lot of more features, wooden keys (also the CS6) and more power output. But yes for this price, even the CS6 i can consider a acoustic piano.

Problem is an acoustic must be tuned every year, is sooooo loud in our living room :), and takes more space. Maybe in the future...?

But we decided yesterday. We ordered the Kawai CS3. That must be enough for a year or 3 - 4. It's a beautifull piece! Next week they will deliver it.
