Since my new Feurich has not arrived yet, anyone interested in seeing a picture can go to Feurich.com. Mine is the high gloss ebony Model F227(7.5 ft.). In the picture the music stand is down, but is beautifully cut out(see Music racks on some of the black smaller models. The lyre is shaped like the company logo! I feel so humbled and blessed to be getting such a wonderful piano!

Congratulations. We played a Feurich 227 at Atlantic Pianos a little more than a year ago. It was trully a GREAT piano. You truly are blessed to be getting such a piano. I know that you will truly love it.

Hit the reply too soon.

Horowitzian, Thanks for your help mi amigo!

Apple, I feel very lucky!!! Twenty eight years ago today, I was laying in a detox unit in a treatment center. I had hit rock bottom. This was a self indulgent gift to my self for 28 years of sobriety and hard work.I wanted to celebrate with a big bang. Besides i'm always looking for a reason to go shopping!!!!
Can anyone else relate? ;\)

Dan and laura,
The casters are pre incredible! I saw on your profife that you like old cowboy songs. Me too! I am Native American of Cherokee decent. I have quite a museum quality collection of old cowboy stuff along with one of kind Native American pieces. My entire house is built around this theme. So, I'm an old cowboy at heart that plays and sings old cowboy songs. Of course I appreciate classical Jazz and so on and so forth.

I haven't had time to get back to this thread lately, but I read about your tough times with watery eyes. I say you deserve TWO F227's side-by-side for getting your life back together & staying clean for 28 years!

Horowitzian,Your the best man! Two F227's? I think it would be frugal to wait another 28 years for the second one. The first one is already paid for. If i got the second one now,I may have to wait and retire when im 90 or more. I know you meant well and i appreciate your comments, but i will have to pass. ;\)   ;\) .

Terry,

My mom lived for a few years on or near the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni reservations and has 3 high grade Hopi pots made for her by some of the Nampeyo sisters, a Navajo Two Grey Hills rug, and a little bit of Zuni and Navajo jewelry. All from the 50's. My mom has willed it to us and someday it will be on display, probably in our piano room.

Oh, and congratulations on 28 years of sobriety. That is a huge accomplishment.

Dan

Dan,
Thanks for your kind thoughts and wishes. It sounds as though you will inherit some one of a kind treasures! The Native Americans put so much love and passion into their art. Make sure you take pictures of these treasures(when you get them in your home)and put them in a fire proof safe. This way God forbid anything should happen to them, you have documentation that you have them. Have them appraised as well. Depending on their value, you may wish to have extra homeowners insurance on them. My grandparents and mother lived on the Cherokee reservation. I have many fond memories of my grandparents. My mother moved off the reservation in her early twenties and fell in love with and married my father an Irishman.
Dan,good luck with your treasures!
Best reguards,
Terry(Little Bear)Cunningham

Feurch is one of the best insider tips of the industry.

Too bad, the Germans near my home town of Erlangen make so few of them and are treating them like their secret but fabulous monastery brewed beer.

Keeping it for themselves...

Congratulations!
