There is a book called, I think, The Piano Shop on the Left Bank (or something like that) in which the author eventually purchases a Stingl. There might be more information about the manufacturer in the book, and it is a fun read anyway.

I haven't found out about its value, because only a tehnician can verify that.I 'll look after one soon.
May I ask why the question? smile

Actually, only a buyer can verify the true value, if there is any.

You don't mention whether it is a grand or vertical piano and its corresponding height or length. Also case styling and finish. Wood grain or black? Plain case or exotic or period furniture style. General condition of finish. (scratches, etc.).

Otherwise, your question is a lot like asking the value of a 1993 Chevrolet sight unseen with no further description.

I have rebuilt a Stingl grand. They were made in Austria and had a Streicher action instead of the more conventional actions that everyone uses now.

I have it for more than ten years, and just now got curious to find out more about the piano(since i was little when i got it).Finding out the date was more important for me,since I'm not planning to sell it anyways. When I find out about the real value,I'll let you know. smile

Well, the lack of interest in finding out about the price has made me forget about the details, which I'll surely notify the interested buyer (though I'm not planning to sell it for now).
It's actually a wooden grand piano, not in a great condition, but with possible restauration can be in a great shape. Not sure about the style, since I didn't have any touch with the experts nor any knowledge about it.

How old is your piano,by the way?
