So I've been listening to nothing but piano music for months now, and I've been loving it. I'm starting to run my list of music dry though.

I listen to classical every once in a while, but mostly I love to listen to the more new-age style of playing. I've been mostly listening to David Nevue, Ludovico Einaudi, and Yiruma. On top of that, I spend a lot of time just surfing Youtube, trying to find more original compositions to listen to.

I'm starting to get into composing my own music, and only have a little over a year under my belt, so I'm just trying to listen to more and more music, as it's helped me a ton lately.

Any recommendations?

I'm a huge fan of Nevue and Einaudi, too. Here are some of the other composers for piano I also really like:

Ralph Zurmuhle
Josh Winiberg
Giovanni Bomoll
David Lanz
Dax Johnson
Alessandra Celletti
George Winston
Jon Schmidt/The Piano Guys
Robin Meloy Goldsby
Wim Mertens
Yann Tiersen
Stephan Moccio
Elijah Brossenbroek
The O'Neill Brothers
Stanton Lanier

That should keep you busy for a while. wink

Oh wow, yeah, that's quite the list! Looks like I'll have plenty to listen to at work for quite a while now. Thanks a ton!

I don't listen to New Age, but have you listened to piano jazz? It is rich and rewarding and there is a lot of great stuff out there: Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck, McCoy Tyner, Teddy Wilson, Art Tatum, Keith Jarrett, and lots, lots more. I am sure some of the music will speak to you.

And if you like that, you may well like this too.....

The combined discography of those two gentlemen would occupy you for quite some time. And plenty more down that same alley...

It's not really new age, but I like Joe Hisaishi, who writes the music for a lot of Studio Ghibli stuff and this theme from Kikujiro:
