Original Lyrics by Irving Berlin:
I Know A Fine Way
To Treat A Steinway

Lyrics on Micheal Feinstein's version that inspired this thread:
I Just Appalled When
It's Not a Baldwin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIb5mC02cM

Can you rewrite the lyrics for the piano of your choice?

How about, "I don't know why it shouldn't be a Kawai".

An OK start, but I was hoping for examples that fit the music besides just rhyming like this suggestion on the Piano Forum:

After all the Bick-ring
I'll take the Chic-kring

My heart goes Racin'
Around a Mason

OR

My fingers gracin'
A Double B Mason

OR

My life is rosy
Around my Bosie

OR

Put on my roster
An August Forster

(I cheated with a rhyming dictionary)

I JUST saw Stephanie Blythe perform at my school (she is FANTASTIC!!) and she sang "I Love a Piano"!! I don't know how I would re-write the lyrics to it, but it is great.

Wow, you start to find out how people in other parts really pronounce things! I've never actually said the piano name Knabe out loud, but I wouldn't have thought it rhymed with "lobby"! I guess I'd pronounce it like the German word Knabe. And Bösy rhyming with rosy? Hmm. So interesting.

Anyway:

I am a star
On my Yamaha

Could we get Hewitt
To play on a Stuart?

When I play the Yamaha
I put on my hat from Panama

but for the Kawai
I'd rather use my hat from Hawaii!

Not a perfect rhyme, but anyway... ha

I got the one with the phone too! I love it. I've memorized my phone number by melody.

Don't forget the electrics.

"There should be no land, without a Roland".

(Well? somebody HAD to.)

"I'll strike a chord, upon my Nord."

And for the traditionalists...

"My fingers tremble, when I near a Kemble"

"I'm never lonely, with my Fazioli".
