Well decided to go with the PX-150. It should be here when I get off work tomorrow afternoon. I hope it will be a good keyboard for re-learning and teaching my 5yr old how to play. Will post pics!

@warlock214,

Congratulations on your new digital, as I also had a Casio PX-130 (before trading up towards another model), and, you have chosen a nice one!

The PX-150 will have a very nice action, and, sounds.

I suspect it was a serious question and Spanishbudda wants you to give a review, BrokenChord. As an owner you are more familiar with the specific pros of the piano.

Just got my PX-150 out the box and on the stand. The key action is really nice. I like the feel also. Just noodling thru the sounds and I would say definately different from the PX-130! The sound is very impressive for this price range. Casio is closing the gap folks! My first impression of the sound and expression is better than the P-105 putting this DP up with the Yamaha P-155 and DPs in that price range. I'll continue with updates as others maybe considering one of the PX-_50 DPs.

Are you annoyed by the fact that the Keyboard doesnt sit flush with the CS-67? There is a significant gap between the stand and the keyboard on the sides of the stand. The cut-outs for the keyboard to sit in are too shallow.

Comparisons between the new Casio action and the ubiquitous mid-range Yamaha GH and Kawai RH would be very interesting! If the feel is close to the GH and RH actions then the PX-x50 boards will be a real winner because the Casio boards are so much lighter.

@BrokenChord,

Are you sure that you have assembled everything correctly?

As I had the same wooden stand (CS-67) with my Casio PX-130 and it seemed to fit just fine with the piano.

Check to see that the piano slides down into the stand, as I remember it being a little tight, on both sides.

@BrokenChord,

If you are not happy with your wooden stand, you can always try one like this below, which I am currently using with my Kawai EP3:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WS8550/

It's quite sturdy as it holds the EP3 (at 45 lbs.) easily, which is somewhat heavier than your PX-150.

I will reseat it today but the keyboard is sitting flush with the cutouts for the sides on the underside of the stand. When you look at the side of the keyboard, there is a 1 inch gap between the keyboard and the stand. Maybe the PX-150 is a bit taller than the 130?

Its not really bothering me, I can play just fine. Its just a little weird is all.

There is no difference between the previous generation and the new products in relation to the way it fits on the stand. In fact the (bottom) chassis is identical to accommodate the same stand. I'll get a picture up later today.

Mike, should we conclude that the PX150 and 350 will work fine with the CS67 stand, the SP32 pedal board, and the Privcase?

(By the last item I mean this: http://www.amazon.com/Casio-PRIVCASE-Pri...sio+px+350+case ).

Also, do you have any recommendations on a flight case that would work with these keyboards?

Thanks!

This is the PX-350 on the CS-67 stand here in my office. Fits exactly the same as the PX-330.

My PX-350 is ordered and due to arrive on the 18th. I've gone for black for now but if satisfied, may well follow it up with a white one + stand for wedding use. I was toying with the Kawai ES7 but after a brief but exhausting encounter with a Kronos 88 on Wednesday (long story), I've decided that my days of lugging 20kg+ pianos to gigs are behind me.

That way the keyboard sits looks OK to me. From a practical point of view, you probably need a little bit of space to get your fingers in to lift the keyboard out quickly. Speaking as someone who has to move keyboards around a lot for a living, I'm rather glad of that than otherwise.
