She made a bugle with a bit of hose, duct taped to form the classic bugle shape, a plastic funnel for the bell, and a hose fitting for the mouth piece. Having never played a horn instrument before, she had to learn to play this thing in two weeks. She played her version of the "Star Wars" theme for the class today. Her teacher said "that sounds like the (name forgotten) military march" Having never heard of said march, my daughter simply nodded her head, smiled to herself, and thought "we'll go with that!" and accepted the applause of her classmates. ha ha.
