This composition is so mesmerizing that I couldn't resist myself from learning and playing this, even though I can't read sheet music and I don't have a keyboard :P I learned it myself using Synthesia with a midi file and managed to play on laptop with everything (keyboard, midi cable piano sound)'virtual'! Anyway, I just love this song and dream of playing it on a 'actual' piano. Comments appreciated.

Rupak,

Is this real? I've never seen anything like it.

I suggest you post this to the "Members Recordings - Pianist Corner" forum in "Pianist Corner". Lots of classical folks there who would be interested in hearing this.

Jason,

Thank you very much for your comment! Of course it's real. There may be some sync problem between the video and the audio, also the video frame rate is slow. You have to watch a bit carefully. Also, the major proof is that there is no velocity control simply because it's computer keyboard smile Though I tried hard at the end of this song to emphasis by increasing the volume, still there is no expression. Anyway I tried hard to just follow the correct notes.

Thanks a lot once again. I'll certainly post it to Pianist Corner.

P.S.: I posted another video on 'moonlight sonata on computer keyboard'. That was my first try. You can check that also.

Dude, I know what you must have gone through to do this, I will follow you over to pianists corner and demand that someone buys you a keyboard.

You deserve it, that is a staggering achievement.

I have used a computer keyboard in ableton to program a few notes, but this takes the biscuit.

If you are this dedicated, imagine what you can achieve on a real keyboard.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comment. In a word, I've got my rewards after receiving so many encouragements from all of you. But, I think I'm still don't deserve an expensive keyboard for now, because I'm currently doing my Ph.D. in Physics and that's why I'm afraid about how much time I can dedicate to piano learning smile Anyway, thanks a lot.

Rupak, once you have a keyboard you will have more time!!! It will be easier playing it than your laptop !!
