Can anyone tell me the age of my Weber (baby grand) serial number CG 0002540
I believe it is a Young Chang piano. thanks!

Young Chang started building pianos under the Weber name in 1986.

It is my understanding that the same serial numbering system was used for both the Young Chang and Webers of that period.

As far as I can tell the CG 00002540 serial number indicates that your piano was built between 1986 and 1990.

This is one of several internet sources where this information can be found.

NOTE: Just to prove my point, I bought a new Weber piano in 2002 with a serial number 0135906. The chart confirms that my Weber was manufactured by Young Chang in 2001.
