Excellent , it sure does sound like a lawfirm, in Preston lancs, and I jest not, there was a lawfirm called "hindle ,hindle and tool.
Old man hindle died and that just left "hindle and tool" they went downhill so very badly they got the nickname "swindle and fool"
legal advice from the RST "lawfirm" is now available folks, payment in Pounds sterling, dollars or Gold (no euros)
this is how I propose it works:
Pm me your problem, I will explain it to wayne and ask his opinion after he has had a smoke and a beer or six, he will then mistranslate your problem to Recaredo who will similarly Pm Rupak the wrong end of the stick, Rupak will then give the advice to Dipsey who will promptly, and I say Promptly forget it for ages untill some totally unconnected thing reminds her and she will then tell me and I will then give you the disjointed mistranslated and extremely unethical legal advice for a unreasonable fee.
wayne, you say Rostosky is "probabily" busy.
I heard that "probabily" is a contraction of "proper" and "hillbilly" are you calling me a proper hillbilly just because I live in wales? lol.

Thanks so much Becca, Sam and Jim for your feedback on our performances!
We have posted very little about Bruckner’s music. I think the last time was Griffin posting the symphony No 0, with an excellent version by Solti.
Once I heard this anecdote about the release of Bruckner’s Te Deum in London. When the performance finished, the public that attended the concert kept silent. The musicians started leaving the stage, as they didn’t see any response to their interpretation. Thus, Bruckner thought that his work had failed hugely.
But suddenly, a thunderous ovation broke that silence. Simply, the whole audience was moved after listening to this enormous choral work.

Hi Wayne!
I could pick Gnossienne No. 4 ( I don’t know if someone has chosen it before), but I’m not sure if I will able to learn it in one month. I think the deadline is early November?

Argggh, Ughhh, Ahhhhh... I will be pleased as punch if I can learn to play this with even the most remote idea of a song! LMAO
Wow this is tough. I've managed to sorta figure out where and when my fingers go on page 1 (3 more pages to go!) I'm going by finger go here because they can reach that.
Whose good at checking to see if your fingering makes sense? I'm gonna need whopper amounts of help with this!
How is everyone doing? Anyone else start yet?

Recaredo, have you picked one of the Gnoissienne's yet?
Griffin, you gonna join in this time?
Can anyone recap, who's doing what, and is there 9 in all?
Wayne, I just downloaded Gymnopedie No. 1 to review. I'll also take a look at Gymnopedie No. 3. I usually don't like to try to learn a piece in such a short timeframe. I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks a lot to once again to all the listeners for their kind feedback on RST members' very first recital. And of course a lot of thanks and congrats to Recaredo, Wayne, Dipsy and Rossy for contributing their wonderful performances to make this recital so enjoyable!
Hi everybody... wonderful job with the Glass pieces. They're beautiful. I am impressed and intimidated by you all
I wish were able to join in on the Satie, but I have a full load this fall. I worked on the first 3 gnoissennes earlier this year, and they were a lot of fun. I especially liked trying to interpret Satie's comments into the songs. I think you all will have a blast with it. Hopefully things around here will settle down enough where I can join in on the Mendelssohn. If nothing else, I should be able to dust off Op. 19 no. 6 and see if I can do a better job with it than when I left it.
Wayne, I saw this and thought of you. I hope Gaga isn't letting herself go! That or too many brownies
My Fiona Apple got arrested yesterday. So this is for her.

unfortunately old rossy will not be involved in this one ..boo hoo, because I have to do some jobs before winter sets in.
BUT will be involved in the mendlessohn with op38.no2 or was it op28 no2? damn anyways, lost happiness it is called in english.
Richard seems shy , its not rocket science richard, someone you know will have a camcorder or iphone or mp3/4 recorder, and apart from gnos7 all of the sheet music is available online mostly, and if not then very cheaply in your local music store.....
RST is begining to suspect what may be known as "shanannigans"??? lol.

I can confirm your suspicions.
I may get involved in the Mendelssohn (is there a free choice of piece?) if I can get the recorder, piano and computer all in the same room in the not too distant. The palaver would not be worth it for Satie. I liken Satie to postal chess. I could do a note each week!

Right on Richard!! I'd say you've got your priorities in the proper order!
I'm the same way with my other half! The only reason he's cutting me a little more slack on this one is because I've promised to learn a piano piece he wants to hear. That's one of my top priorities

Sunday Classical is coming from Ireland for a little while.
A certain indolent wastrel who wouldn't take part in the themed recital (because he couldn't get no Satiesfaction ) is marching into the cannon's mouth to clear a little practise time for Griffin who can then participate in the Gymnopédies, by playing piano I hasten to add, although, knowing Griffin, it could probably have gone either way.
Giovanni Legrenzi provides a stately start to Stunday (oops). A product of the early baroque, he is a countryman and contemporary of such luminaries as Corelli and Torelli. Then, as now, he helped to shape the way ahead. This is his Op.2 No, 15, La Torriana. Don't play it too loud - we don't want to disturb the preponderance of participating pianists still practising!
Thank you Richard for taking on the Sunday classical postings for me to have some much needed practice time for our themed recital in November. I'm really excited to participate.
