For my reference, this is usually performed between 5.5 and 6 minutes so I will try and present a faster performance as I am not happy I do full justice to Rachmaninoff's musical requirement in a couple of points with an 8 min performance time. Of course the speed merchants here will hate it anyway, but as they care not about music I care nothing for them. The rather easier Op23 No2 I will present next post at an "acceptable" performance speed.
