Does anyone know as to who the pianist is playing an excellent arrangement of "Body and Soul" below?

SoundHound doesn't recognize it (a long shot, I admit).

pv88, perhaps you could send a message to the YouTube channel owner to enquire about the name of the track?

On an unrelated note, that piano roller invention is absolutely fantastic!

Cheers,
James

@James,

Have just sent an e-mail to ask this question, and, you are right that the piano roller equipment looks to be very interesting, indeed.

It is amazing that only one person can move a large grand, with ease.

I have never seen a more interesting contraption!!! You should have seen how I moved (paying a fortune to a piano mover!) my small vertical 6 flights up when I changed houses.

That roller is an incredible invention!!! Specially the actual 'rolling' into horizontal position with 0 strain on the legs. Absolutely fantastic.

Thanks for sharing pv88.

Rafa.
ps. Of course, no idea who the pianist is frown Sorry.

@Rafa,

If you should ever plan on buying this equipment (especially the entire package) be prepared for a very hefty price tag:

As for the pianist, I await a reply for that info.

LOL! No, don't worry... I have a 30 year old non-brand vertical piano that in order to sell I would only be able to ask around 3K, so no... no plans of purchasing a piano roller at all smile as I also have no immediate plans of moving. I just thought it a marvelous invention.

Rafa.

I now have info that the pianist for the "Body and Soul" performance is Pascal Wintz, from France:

@Rafa,

Extra note:

I can now add my own performance of the tune played in the video, here:
