Any opinions on this piano? According to the ad, it is only 5 years old. Here is the craigslist link below:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/msg/3362791176.html

I will be bringing my son's piano teacher with me to test the sound and she takes a look at the soundboard, etc. I have no experience and am trying to buy our first piano for my son who has been playing on a digital Yamaha for the past year.

If it passes my son's teacher's muster, what is the general protocol? I do not want to pay for it in full until the movers actually come and get it, right? Do I give some cash as a "good faith" gesture to save the piano for myself and then pay the balance upon pick-up? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Wendy

Seems like a nice piano. Very good price. Ask for the serial number to help confirm its age.

If the seller seems trustworthy, just ask them to hold it until you can get the movers there. Pay right before the movers touch the piano.

See if you can get a mover lined up on standby. It's better to move it same day before someone else gets to it or if the seller changes his/her mind on the final price.

Is there any chance someone would know what the 2008 model serial numbers would start with?

I have asked for the serial number but haven't heard back and am assuming I won't get to check until I am there today. Long shot - but thought I would ask!

Thank you so much! No wonder I had no luck searching the Weber serial numbers!

Movers are set to come tomorrow morning and she was gracious enough to hold it for me until then before I paid. Whee! I can't wait for it to come! Feel like a kid before Christmas! Thanks again.

I feel like I'm playing "Find the Differences" with my young son again. Between the first two pics I noticed a door was added and the color of the piano changed. Wonder if there is a third piano?

Looked at the pics again. The carpet is a different color.
