Are there any PianoSheets members on here?
I'm trying to get an invite but had no luck so far.

Can anyone help please?

Wow, quite surprised that not one person on here is a member.

I doubt anyone will fess up to illegally swapping PDFs of photocopied sheet music (if that's the site you're referring to... I recall it coming up in search results before it went private).

Well it probably does have some illegal stuff on there, but then again anyone who has Internet access can find that anyway.

I was more interested in being able to download what's in the public domain, but in "packs" as opposed to individually finding and downloading each separate piece. That would be much more convenient.

If you are looking for free public domain sheet music pdf's, try the following sites.

The Henselt Library
http://henseltlibrary.wordpress.com/

IMSLP
http://imslp.org/

Pianophilia
http://www.pianophilia.com/phpBB3/index.php

CosandScores
http://waltercosand.com/CosandScores/

The Musician’s Library
http://www.gamingforce.org/forums/50-musicians-library/

The Mutopia Project
http://www.mutopiaproject.org/

I may also be able to help you as I have catalogued over 30,000 sheet music pdf's by over 3,000+ composers.

As far as downloading pdf's in 'packs', I haven't come across such a site, so you are left with downloading pieces individually.

Some of the sites that I've listed do have pieces grouped by composer, which is more convenient.

I hope this helps...

Cheers,

There are browser plugins that let you download all the files on a website at once.

I had a subscription to pianostreet.com once - public domain music and their own music, with unlimited downloads. After a while I just downloaded their entire music collection.

Pianostreet's music has a very high image quality and is easy to read.

That's a good idea if you are just starting out. I usually end up picking through sites in an attempt to find pieces/editions that I don't have. It's getting harder to do as time goes by and my collection gets more diverse.

I didn't include that site for that reason. Good deal for the membership fee though.

Tons of free sites for classical. I bet most of the ones listed in previous posts have a better collection than PianoSheets. For mostly popular music try PianoFiles. They have 1.5 million members and 3.3 million "sheets"(and one sheet can sometimes mean an entire book).
