Hi all.. I'm looking for a suitable piano, however where i come from, there are hardly any digital piano around on display, i can only buy them online.

i already finish my piano courses few years back but im no professional.. just a decent pianist. im looking to buy a digital piano because i wanna experiment different piano type of sounds, but im a newbie to digital pianos. i cant differentiate pianos by their specs, except by the price.

i have looked around at a few models. particular pianos with 88 keys, built in speakers because i'll use the piano mainly at home

casio px350
yamaha dgx640, p95, cp50
korg lp350

which of these are the best? not withstanding the price

any other similar pianos anyone could recommend me? budget about $1500 below.

CP50 doesn't have built in speakers

P105 is improved version of P95; P155 is also a popular choice

SP250 is basically the LP350 without the cabinet, I believe

i think yamaha is always a solid bet. the p155 is you like a litter firmer action. A p105 is you life a little lighter action. just my opinion though. I think the p105 is a great bargain at the price.

You do not state your location, however assuming you're living in the US, I would also suggest you consider the Roland FP-4F.

What are the display models that you've tried? Your impressions on those might help narrow down what you'd be happy with.

i have not tried any pianos because there's hardly any display around except for uprighy and grand pianos. im from an asian country. so i can only decide based on ppl's comments

any comments or input of casio's px 350 compared to roland fp 7f and yamaha p155?

Personally, I'd pick the Roland for best action, the Yamaha for best sound, but this is subjective. The Casio certainly has value on its side, and portability.

actually, can anyone explain what does the term "action" means?

The feel of the keys. How much force it takes to push them down, how quickly they return, etc.

...how 'connected' they are to the sounds and dynamics, consists of aural and touch feedback. Very difficult to describe, but one day when or if you find it, that's the one you'll want.

For the same price, I'd pick the FP-7F. It's normally a lot more expensive than the others though, with even the FP-4F a step up in price.
