Sharing in an experience like this is certainly a welcome change from some of the other discussions sometimes taking place here.

IMHO this is what owning a piano is or at least "should" be all about.

It brings a special joy into our world often beset by tragedy, disappointment, loss or unnecessary fighting.

Including the discussion of what the absolute cheapest piano or deal could be somewhere around the block...

Thanks althumbs - let's share in your bliss!

allthumbs up!!

Looks great, all shiny and polished. I also prefer hi gloss over satin! (or didn't they have satin?)

And yes, we'd love to hear it. Coming recital still is open!

Dear ando

I feel your anguish. That's what I thought for years as I never thought I would be in a position to purchase a great instrument like this.

Don't give up on your dream, someday it could happen.

My wish would be that everyone who had a passion for music be able to obtain the instrument of their dreams.

All the best,

allthumbs

Thank-you for the encouragement, Allthumbs. smile

Just gotta keep putting the positive energy out there and hope some of it comes back to me in the form of a lovely grand piano!

Great-looking instrument, and I bet it sounds as good as it looks; congratulations!

Again, thanks everyone for your comments. I will record something as soon as I find and purchase the appropriate mics. Hopefully in the next month or so...

The Omega comes in satin walnut, the Delta in satin maple and walnut. The other models also have satin finishes, but none have satin black which was fine with me, as like you, I prefer the polished ebony.

All Sauter models come in satin ebony including any other custom finish desired by customer.

In fact the satins are among the absolute finest I have seen in the industry.

Patience - even 6 years ago, I was thinking a Kawai K8 or Yamaha YUS5 would be the limit of my purchasing power. Keep dreaming.

An Omega. You can see the 'omega' symbol as the camera pans over the top of the music desk towards the end of the video.

Yes, it was Omega.
Sure had lots of fun with the guy...

For those perhaps interested in a more classic version on same piano, truly one of the finest anywhere:
