I'm thinking of making a day trip from DC to see an opera at the Met. The "Family Circle" level tickets are much cheaper than other tickets. http://www.metoperafamily.org/uploadedFi...agram.pdf?sn=st

I was wondering how bad or good the sound and the view is from there. I would appreciate any guidance. Grazie.

there is nothing wrong to seat there, a cheap ticket and still a good view, and hearing good singing from there without problem.

i went to see Met many times when i was working there in NYC, and only buy such tickets. i just don't see the reason paying $100-200 per seat for an opera, and this way, i could see as many operas or go to as many concerts as possible on weekends without worrying about spending too much.

of course, if you like a better view or don't mind paying more, then get a better ticket.
