I know it's my first post and I'm completely new to this but I hope I can have a moment of your time. I started to take apart a (new to me) piano and found a Wood & Brooks tag hanging from the action. I wanted to take it apart and clean it because some of the keys are sticking. Thanks to Google I found out the this action is unique and I stopped right away. Does anyone have any insight on the Wood & Brooks company?
Thanks for any insight, Andy

btw, I feel like it's important that I say this...I'm not some dip [censored] posting on a forum to find out if I can score some cash on ebay. I'm just a regular old dip [censored] trying to fix up a piano for my family to enjoy.
Thanks, Andy

Andy, No need for the 'tude. We all started ignorant. As a amateur piano restorer, I suggest you look closely at this site: http://www.stevespianoservice.com/Good luck

Wood & Brooks was an action manufacturer. Most of their actions are fairly standard, except they made a spinet actions which as made at 90° from the usual. Parts for those actions are hard to come by.
