Martha Argerich just about outdoes herself with this one. Wow!

Speaking of her technique, can anyone put a finger on how Argerich's is different than most others? It seems to me she sort of "floats" her hands a bit above the keys and then makes quick downward bursts to play. Some examples of this occur at 3:33, and 2:07, and 1:03 in the video presented above. I can say that if I tried that I would hit a lot more wrong notes!

That was fantastic. I love her lack of show, that she just plays the music, and plays it really well. No "show" needed. Also watching her hands is so different, you're right her hands do just float over the keys and then she shoots down to play...although I actually realized I do something quite similar when the passage allows for it [obviously I can't do that for things involving fast fingerwork.] It's strange, I rarely hit a wrong note when I do it that way. I just lift my hand up, float to the spot, and then right as I need to hit the note, my hand will shoot down and seem to land right where it's needed.

But that was wonderful. I think I want to learn some Prokofiev or Scriabin next semester. I haven't played either of them for a couple years.

I love the look she gives the concertmaster at the 9:14 mark.

Yes, she seems to use her arms as much as her fingers. Who can argue, it's effective?

Lol sorry about that. I'm extremely ill right now (influenza) and I was attempting to type when I should have been sleeping. :P

Lol, yep, I was going to comment on that as well. It's as if she's saying, "come on now, are you with me?"
