Greetings, I was wondering if anyone in this forum has ever purchased a rebuilt piano from Country Piano in Watkins Glenn / Burdette NY?? They seem to have several S&S at competitive prices. Thanks in advance.

There have been a number of discussions about Country Piano over the years. Check out the search bottom above for more info. The comments as I recall have been generally positive but I don't know if anyone has actually purchased a rebuilt grand piano from them.
Retired at the beach (well maybe not completely)

Anton Rubinstein said about the piano: "You think it is one instrument? It is a hundred instruments!"

I checked them out because their shop was close to my residence at the time. They are located out in the middle of the woods outside Watkins Glen, so low overhead for sure. They had a lot of very fine Steinways, and a couple of nice Mason-Hamlins when I was there. The quality of the work seemed very good and the prices were pretty good, too, I thought. I was really seriously considering a Mason-Hamlin BB from the 70's that they had redone, but it got sold before I could decide. I believe the owner is a relative of the Lindeblads who also rebuild pianos. The owner was really nice. Certainly worth a trip to their place if you are looking for a rebuilt Golden Age piano.
