Hi Guys! I just noticed you are are trying to connect with me via YouTube. Not sure what the issue is to invite me to be a friend. Let me know if I need to adjust my account setting in some way. I sure have plenty of time, since I'm taking it easy and recuperating at home. Send me a PM and let me know if I can be of assistance.

Right, how about Fischer-Dieskau's rendition of Der Erlkonig? Spooky tale.

Or there's Dudley Moore's version:

Hey Guys! We are just fine. I checked my settings on YouTube and discovered that I had already "subscribed" to Rossy when he posted his composition earlier this week! Rossy, I subscribed at that time. I assume that is all that is needed, and we are already friends on YT.

Wayne, I've just responded to your invite. We should be good!

Griffin, no , I know this is very weird, but subscibing is apparently no the same as friend!
I was confused too , like loads!!!
I got your subscription, after waynes, but then I noticed I could add as "friends"

So, to cut a long story to just plain odd story, I sent the friend request to Wayne, who must have done something as he now appears as a friend as well as a subscriber, whereas in your case Griffin, it appears you only appear as a subscriber, and it says the friend thing is awaiting for you to indeed do something....

However, exactly what that something is, I have not a clue, I only just started to sort out the youtube chanel and see what it does myself, having only ever used it as a hosting place before now.....( without learning anything about it!)

There must be something that you click to "accept" a "friend" request is my guess.....

Dont worry though , wayne will know what that is, and where it lives....lol.

We're Good! I also noticed several other friend requests. However, one was a very commercial thing, which I'm inclined to ignore or disallow. Others, I don't know and will probably not. Thanks Wayne!

One of the things i like bestest about music in general, is that you can happen on it at anytime, in any country, and even without being able to understand the language of that country say, you can still understand the music...

case in point as an example..:

Eglantine achieved that by accident, I was reading her excellently thought ou thread; "Moderately, I beg you"

If you havent read it yet, its where composers have annotated their scores in maybe an unusual or unorthodox manner, like they have written extra instructions of the odd kind.. Like the above "I beg you"

This inspired me to annotate the score for my waltz with the words "Allegro, to be played only when TJ has left the building"

Eglantine, you are a star.

Thanks Rossy. I'm surprised more composers don't do it - or is the music supposed always to speak for itself?

Watched the Creation Records movie Upside Down: The Creation Story last night on BBC4. Some of my favourite bands were on Creation, such as Slowdive

and Ride

I can highly recommend Going Blank Again (Ride) and Souvlaki Space Station (Slowdive). Brilliant albums with not a dud track on them.
