I would like to Rehash this subject to see if anything has changed over the last year or so.
If anyone has any thoughts on a good stand for the Kawai MP10, Weight would not be an issue, but would need to be portable.
The most important aspect is that it is sturdy.

Also, on a second note if you have any thoughts on speakers for the MP10 as well??? The use for the speakers would be for home studio.
Kind Regards,

I just bought the M-Audio Bx5 D2 monitors for my MP10 and I am pretty happy with them.
The mids and high notes sound very natural, the lower bass notes sound a bit more flat, but still acceptable. The monitors also perform well at lower volume and I like their compact size. For me that also a good reason going for the bx5 d2's

I have the On-Stage heavy duty Z-style stand with my Kawai mp8. It's surprisingly portable but exceptionally heavy duty. Rock of Gibraltar, that thing.

Nothing has changed in the last year as far as stands go, though.

Well, I can't say I'm an expert on the subject but I'm pretty satisfied by the stand that came bundled from Kraft music: http://www.kraftmusic.com/kawai-mp10-professional-stage-piano-key-essentials-bundle.html

As for speakers, I bought a pair of home theater floorstanding speakers and I've been pretty satisfied. (got these for $150 each on sale http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290208). And of course, it's also nice to have big speakers to listen to music too, even if it's near-field. But if you want to have speakers for studio use like mastering, then perhaps monitors are a better choice.

frog97: Regarding a stand, I would check out the Yamaha LG800 stand

http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-i...800/?mode=model

which I believe fits the Kawai MP10 equally well because it has "small round rubber feet" similar to Yamaha 88-key keyboards. I have the predecessor stand to LG800 and it is very good and sturdy.

Hello.

I do agree with you Peter B.

I wanted a good sturdy stand for my heavy Kawai MP10. I ended up purchasing the Yamaha LG800.
