I got this little pa/monitor for my 300 (last post) : 300 nx I'm sure someone will come up with better answers but this is within your budget and works great.

I really like it. It's small, simple, versatile and really powerful. I'm pretty sure mine is in mono with only one. I'd like to get a second one. So for stereo definitely get two. You can also plug in a mike and other speakers/monitors into the Eurolive at the same time.

You need a proper pair of Stereo monitors to get the best out of the 700NX ... you also need nice looking ones because you have yours set up in a nice enviroment. $400 really isn't going to get you the 10 inch cones you'll need to reproduce the bass of a AP without a sub.
