My first "Real" Digital Piano. Bought an EP-9 off craigslist last month and got hooked, so cleaned out the bank account for this. Not one regret. It is INCREDIBLE. Of course, this is coming from a guy with 1 month experience on a digital piano but I did take lessons as a child on an acoustic. Bought sight unseen with nothing to compare it too because I live in a land locked town in Alaska...not a showroom in 1000 miles. But the verdict seems to be out and this piano is simply exceptional.

Packaging arrived in one piece with a few scratches on the side of the box but otherwise in great shape.

What a wonderful Kawai Dealer. Their staff is incredible. Prices there, although 250 miles away, were almost -half- of what the local Mpls/StPaul Dealer offered.

WOW!!! Notice the price difference between Canada and the US for most synths, with Can and US dollars roughly at par, we Canadians are FORCED to pay MUCH MORE, ie. we are DEFRAUDED big time! We pay SOOO much more.

I was thinking this was not a bad price for a band-aid DP while I am saving for an FP-7F.

Same thing in UK vs US. BUT there are generally much better warranties in EU countries, and overall consumer protection is more favorable. Maybe it's similar in Canada?

Sound good, weighted action good. Most important: lightweight (alum,<25lbs). Will seem trivial to some but I'm esp pleased that no heavy power adapter is needed. Only thing lacking, making the Numa unsuitable IMO for serious classical playing: wide dynamic range.
