I've been looking and looking at pianos...Schimmels, bostons, and now Steinways! I'm not very knowledgeable or experienced, but I want a piano for my living room which make the Steinway Model M look like a good option. I played one locally and liked it!:) Anyway, the local one was more than I wanted to pay. I have a piano I have found that is far away, but want to know if it is worth it to make the trip to play it, pay for it, and ship it. It's a 1986 Steinway Model M that has had 2 owners. The first owner supposedly rarely played it and the 2nd owner wanted to play it, but put less than 30 hours (according to him) on it in the 4 years he's owned it. The current owner says that is in EXCELLENT condition, and from the pictures it looks good, really good. What is a good price for this piano?? If you could get this piano for the same price as a 2004 Schimmel SP182T with a player for about the same price, which would you choose?? Thanks:)
