We lost a great musician, marvelous human being and historic figure today. RIP to Dave Brubeck, and condolences to his superb and talented family.

A day before his 92 birthday!

I cherish the memories of my conversations with him and Iola. I regret that I never had the chance to tell him that I listened to his sacred music, as he had suggested to me.

R.I.P.

His "Time Out" was the first non-classical piano music that I connected with, and I'm thrilled whenever I still hear any parts of it.

A great musician and jazz pianist with a classical sensibility. He will be missed.

Dave Brubeck will be remembered in my camp,
for the quartet’s playing of “Take Five” written by Paul Desmond ... which was recently viewed in the entertaining movie “Flawless” featuring Demi Moore and the priceless Michael Caine.

The bouncy ditty has been used in countless movies ...
just the thing to backdrop a possibly complex bit of story-telling ... and all at a merry pace.

A bonnie innings Dave ... 92 not out.

I'm sad for his passing, but grateful for the rich legacy he left us.

A great posting, Entheo -- a fitting tribute to one of the truly great class acts in American jazz. Thanks for sharing!

Dave Brubeck's playing of his own composition ...
a Polish "Thank You" ... drew a tear ... and cowboys don't cry ... what a Master Musician!
