Both are in great condition. A YDP-223 for $900 or a YDP-181 for $1250. I appreciate any help!

That's easy.
The YDP181 was introduced in 2010 and is still in production. The YDP223 was introduced in 2002 and has been discontinued.
The YDP181 has three-level sampling. The YDP223 has only one-level sampling.
The YDP181 is a better piano.

I do not know what 223 is. The models improves fast, buying a newer 181 seems a better option.

Thanks so much for the lighting quick responses! I was hoping to not have to spend that much, but I suppose it is still a good deal. I wanted a digital to peak my daughter's interest in lessons. A digital is more fun, and has more opportunity for aided learning. I offered him $1000 on the 181. I found it on craigslist. I understand that it is probably still worth the $1250, but that is more than I wanted to spend.
