Looking to buy a used Beginner Piano - I have two immediate options - a 1995 Kawai 503T at $1500 or 2007 Yamaha M425 at $2000, which is a better buy? (budget is $2K as I am not sure if kids are serious)

Both pianos are single owner, claimed as tuned about once a year, quick visual inspection does not show any cracks, rust, loose pins etc.

The older Kawai has small grooves on the hammer felt, looks like may need voicing/filing.

Both sound good to me (novice ears!)

Thank you!

For one thing, twelve years newer is a big difference for not much more money.
