Hello. I´d like you to tell me wich of this pianos is better. its very important for me a good touch and sound aswell that it doesnt break very soon , because my actual kawai piano pn 300 its keyboard started very soon to make strange sounds aswel some keys get stuck.

That CA93 is a pretty amazing machine. Very robust action, if that's a concern. And very well regarded in all other respects in this forum.

It was recently replaced by the CA95. If your budget stretches that far, you might look to it.

The others are good pianos as well, but I don't really see them as being in the same league as the CA93. Usually comparisons across manufacturers come down to opinions and preferences, but in this grouping I personally feel that the Kawai dominates.

I stopped by the piano store that sells yamaha and kawai pianos the other day because I wanted to upgrade my digital piano to a better one (better touch and sound). I first played the Kawai CA65, CA93, CA95 and loved the touch and sound right away(!!). It was so easy to play and adapt to the keys. Then, I went on to mess around with the CLP 480 since the sales lady wanted me to try it out for a comparison. Right away I could feel the keys were harder to depress(basically unrealistic). The sound was okay, but the touch wasn't even close to the CA65, CA93, and CA95.

Few days later, I went to another piano store to play more digital pianos, but same result. I now settle down to only getting Kawai CA93/95 if I can find a killer deal because my budget is kinda tight at the moment.

Kenboi2, while we are on topic, can you give us an idea about your impression of the difference between the CA93 and CA95? I'm still gathering opinions on the difference between RM3 and GF.

gvfarns, that's the only thing that I've regretted of not doing when I was at the store the other day. I wasn't planning to buy the CA93/95 at first that was why I didn't play long enough to notice any differences. On the specs, they are slightly different, i.e., the speaker sizes. If anyone knows more or less about the differences between the two in terms of touch and sound, I, myself, would love to know as well. I would most likely be getting the CA95 since it's a new model vs the model from 4 years ago. I think the price difference is +/- $200.

The major difference between the two in my mind is that the CA95 has the new GF action. The key length was significantly lengthened to match that of an acoustic. The way this would manifest itself is that the difference in mechanical advantage from the front of the playing surface of the key to the back will be greater in the CA93 and lesser (more authentic) in the CA95. It's always harder to play at the back of the key, of course, but it should be more difficult on the CA93 than on the CA95.

How important this is in practice, you will have to tell me.

- USB audio recorder improvements (overdubbing, line-in recording, recorder gain, SMF-->MP3)
- Improved cabinet design (including metallic KAWAI lettering)
- Grand Feel Pedal System (correct weighting of all three pedals)
- Adjustable music rest angle
- Lower power consumption (including auto power-off)
- More compact jack panel, headphone/USB jacks mounted at front of instrument
- Higher model number

$200 well spent.
