It seems I have seen this unit discussed at length on the Forum. Does anyone here have one that might be for sale?
(No! Not because it is broken!) Perhaps because you purchased it and then decided you needed higher quality. Or you thought it was going to be amazing, and it is not. Or perhaps the microphone(s) do not provide enough isolation. Upgrading to something else?
I need one that is in very good condition, and complete, with USB cables, software, etc. PM or post here.
Thanks, Ed

On this forum we tend to discuss recording mostly using inbuilt DP recorders, or PC software.
On the ABF and Pianist forum they tend to discuss using external devices such as the Zoom range.

Yes. Lots of them on ebay. 107 of them. Mac, Thank you for pointing out the obvious. I am hoping to find one from an owner with whom I can discuss its use, perhaps hear what they did not like about it, and (hopefully) purchase one from another member here, thereby benefiting the piano community, and the Forums. Ed

Thanks, Ed Ed, I have a Zoom H2. If you insist, I'll sell it to you. But... Why the H2? There are better recorders out there. If you want to go with an H2, I'd strongly suggest that you go with the H2n. H2 Plusses: - Excellent sound with internal mics - Flexible mic recording - front, back, both - Small package - Well-protected mics H2 Minuses: - Microscopic screen. Difficult to read. - Slow start up. - Some menu items deep in menu. - No prerecord. (A biggie for me if I get another recorder) - All controls are push button. - Mic gain is only three levels. - Usage with external mic is very poor. For a simple, small recorder, an H1 is a better option. I have one and love it. Haven't used the H2 since I got the H1. There are much better options out there, including the H2n and recorders from Sony, Roland, Marantz, Tascam, and Yamaha. Regards, Dan.

I have a Zoom H2. If you insist, I'll sell it to you. But... The thread subject says H2n - which is almost certainly better than the H2, which is kinda lame. (Just sold my H2 a couple of weeks ago for more that I bought it for new - whew! Weird how the H2 hype makes it more valuable than newer, better stuff. The power of hype, which as we all know is alive and well in the tiny world of DPs.)

Well damn! Now I'm embarrassed. Should have read the title closer.

Dan and dewster,
Obviously, there is no need to feel bad at all. I am learning as I go here, and my reason for wanting to steal one of these is as a gift for one of the kids.
I would not dare to post, on a DIGITAL Forum, what I personally use for recording.
Thanks for the learned advice. Ed
