I'm a complete beginner looking to start learning piano. I'm planning on a buying a keyboard (looking at p-155) but I want to ask to see if anyone knows any really good Piano instructors in the Orlando Area. I would like to learn classical.

I've been trying to ask people that I meet, but I haven't had much luck. I've also checked out instructors at the local shops but I'm not really sure about them. Since I don't really know much and I was hoping for a second opinion.

Thanks for reading!

you should do a search on the MTNA (music teachers national association?) website for teachers out of the Orlando area and you will likely get several results. I'd start there and then also possibly do a google search for questions to ask prospective teachers in interviews. From there, set up some trial lessons and see who you feel you click most with.

edit: there's a really knowledgeable/competent teacher that occasionally posts here based out of south Florida that you may wish to contact to see if he has references in Orlando; his names Gary D.

Also, the Yamaha P-155 is a nice piano to learn on.

Thanks, I'll check all that out. Appreciate the answer smile! First time I have come across this MTNA site, looks good.
